You can greatly enhance the fault tolerance of the NDPS Manager database by backing it up to NDS. through the automatic database backup configuration options available at the server console. This procedure ensures that the database image will be backed up to NDS whenever the NDPS Manager is unloaded or when the database is backed up (the default is once a day). Then, after failing to load the database through normal mechanisms, you can retrieve the database from NDS and load the NDPS Manager on any other server in the NDS tree.
