Отчитываюсь о промежуточных результатах.

1. Проблема не подтвердилась на устройствах Nokia

2. Here are the results of the analysis after the tests we did with my backline:

We found that if EVER the phone has been changed from language 1 to language 2 the problem you reported can be seen. Even if you set the phone back to the original language the phone isn't handling the characters right. The only way we could get things back to work again is to have a backup of the iPhone before the first time the language was changed. This seems to be only iPhone specific problem. Other brands, like Nokia, do not seem to have problems to set alternate language.

We raised a defect for this problem and will let the development to decide what can be done from Datasync point of view as this seems to be a device issue:

679296 - Once you add / change default language on iPhones, you get problems with extended chars.

3. Синхронизация с MS Exchange и Gmail Exhanage идет без каких либо проблем сколько язык не меняй - потому буду настаивать что проблема с Novell DataSync

никаких проблем с кодировкой не обнаружено, девайсы iPhone3 и Nokia E71

Мой отчёт:

1. По каким-то причинам проблемы с кодировками не было выявлено ни на WM6 ни на яблофонах ни на Symbian - синхронизируется нормально без коверкания текста (наверное я что-то не так делаю)
2. Парочка багов в админке, которые обещано пофиксить следующем релизе.

Резюме - вполне работоспособная система получилась, тестирование прошло вполне успешно.

Единственная деталь: при создании ключа приложения для GW категорически не надо указывать никаких дополнительных параметров наподобие IP адреса - помучался немало, пока не нашёл ветку на новелловском форуме.
