А ниже инфа по настройке, только похоже оно работать будет только на NetWare. Проверить не смогу - нет под рукой виндового парашута (непонятно какие там есть exe-шники).
1. Create the APCRDOWN.INI File
Create a file named APCRDOWN.INI in the NetWare server directory PWRCHUTE or any other server directory. However, this file cannot be placed in the directory SYS:PUBLIC. For security purposes, this file should only be accessible by a NetWare user account with supervisor (NetWare 3.x) or administrator (NetWare 4.x) privileges or a user account with supervisor or administrator equivalent privileges. This is due to the fact that this file will contain information which provides the potential to shut down any NetWare server on the internetwork.
Within the APCRDOWN.INI file, you must specify the server's name and an associated supervisor or administrator user account (or one with equivalent
security privileges) with that account's password for each secondary server. The format for each line in this file should be set up as follows:
Servername Supervisor_equivalent_name Password
Servername is the name of the remote secondary server to be shut down. Supervisor_ equivalent_ name is the name of the user account with
supervisory or administrative equivalent privileges on the remote secondary server. Password is the password for that supervisory or administrative
equivalent user account on that remote secondary server. This is not optional; a password must be included.
For example: servername is "Herman", supervisor_equivalent_name is
"Survivor", and the password is "Shogun". The format for the statement in the
APCRDOWN.INI file would be:
Herman Survivor Shogun
If there are five secondary servers on the internetwork that need to be set up for automatic shut down, this .INI file should contain five lines in the above
format.
Note: For a secondary file server which runs any version of NetWare 4.x, the user account with administrator privileges must be placed in an NDS (Novell Directory Services) container of which its context (or location) in the NDS tree is set as a bindery context on that secondary server. The reason why this is required is due to the fact that PowerChute plus is currently not NDS compliant. If this requirement is not adhered to, this feature will not function properly and the secondary server(s) will not be shut down.
2. Create the NetWare Command File
The second file which needs to be created is a NetWare command file with an extension of .NCF. It can be given any name such as APC_SD.NCF, but the file's name must not have any other extension except .NCF. It is recommended that you keep track of exactly where this file has been placed in your NetWare file server's directory structure. This .NCF file should contain one statement as follows:
LOAD APCRDOWN path_to_ini
where path_to_ini is the primary server's directory path to the file APCRDOWN.INI within the NetWare system. This path should not include the file name APCRDOWN.INI, only the target directory path to that file. For example, if the APCRDOWN.INI file is located in the NetWare server directory WRCHUTE, and this directory is at the root of the volume SYS, the statement would read as follows:
LOAD APCRDOWN SYS:PWRCHUTE
3. Configure PowerChute plus FlexEvent System Shutdown Starting to Run Command File
From a NetWare workstation, access FlexEvents from the PowerChute plus graphical user interface (either Pwrchute.exe from DOS or Winchute.exe from Windows). Either utility can be found in the directory PWRCHUTE, but you must be logged in as user account SUPERVISOR (NetWare 3.x) or ADMIN (NetWare 4.x) or a user account with supervisory or administrative privileges. Once access to the graphical user interface has been granted, select the menu Configuration followed by the menu option Event Actions. Once the window for Event Actions appears, select the event System Shutdown Starting by highlighting it. Then on the right hand side of the windows, select the action Run Command File. Double-click on the Options button with a mouse (or highlight the button and press the <Enter> key). Another window will appear allowing the user to enter the volume, path, and file name for the .NCF file (from step 2) into the field Command File.
For example, if the.NCF file is named DOWN.NCF, and this file is placed in the directory SYS:SYSTEM, the Command File field would be populated
as follows:
SYS: \ SYSTEM \ DOWN.NCF
4. Setup Complete
