fix
You can only configure Jumbo Frames under the following conditions:
1) Jumbo frames are supported only with Gigabit adapters operating with gigabit links, and require switch infrastructure that supports jumbo frames.
2) Jumbo frames are not supported on the first generation Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Server Adapter nor in PCI-X slots with 82544-based adapters, such as the PRO/1000 XT Server Adapter or PRO/1000 XF Server Adapter.
3) Jumbo frames only work with IP.
4) Ethernet II must be the only frame type loaded for the board.
5) The MAXIMUM PHYSICAL PACKET RECEIVE SIZE setting must be set to the size of the jumbo frame.
6) At the switch, make sure you set the jumbo frame size at least 22 bytes larger than what you have set at the server.
To set up for jumbo frames, use the following commands:
SET MAXIMUM PHYSICAL RECEIVE PACKET SIZE = <jumbo frame size>
LOAD <Gigabit Ethernet Driver> FRAMETYPE=ETHERNET_II JUMBO = <jumbo frame size>
Jumbo Frames allow the adapter to transmit and receive Ethernet frames with a size greater than 1514 bytes, but less than 9000 bytes.
