Сотрудник уволился. Хочу сделать backup его GroupWise ящика и удалить пользователя из системы. Так, чтобы если через год вдруг почта его понадобится, чтоб можно было всю почту обратно запихать в систему.

В C1 нашел GWUtilites-Backup/Restore Mailbox
Вкладка Backup почему-то не активна. Только Restore.
И предлагается соответственно пугающее: "Restore All mesages for this user?" (непонятно какие "All mesages" будут восстановлены)

В голову приходит только создание ящика в режиме кэширования или Remote, с последующим сжатием папки и переносом на backup DVD.

Ну... или попробовать вытащить все письма из ящика при поможи Drag-n-drop (получаются GWIA файлы) - но это уже бред.

почитал GroupWise 7 Administration Guide http://www.novell.com/documentation/gw7 ... zvyc4.html
но по теме как-то не нашел ничего.

Как сделать (чтоб потом было легко восстановить) резервную копию?

Вообще интересует best practice, по архивации ящиков уволенных пользователей.
Кто как поступает... Храните учетную запись год а затем удаляете? Прошу отписаться как у вас принято поступать в данной ситуации.

Собственно мой монолог подошел к концу.

Поискав в Novell Coolsolutions (http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/)
было найдено следующее решение

Create Copy of Ex-employee's Mailbox

1. Record the GroupWise user ID.
2. Login to the GroupWise account online as the X-employee.
3. Using "Hit the Road" create a remote mailbox for the user and set a password.
4. Change the "Retrieve Options" for the days to include when the employee began employment to when they were let go and get the attachments and messages regardless of size.
5. Disconnect from the GroupWise system. Using the startup options /@u-? verify access to the remote mailbox and the messages, appointments and sent items.
6. Burn a copy(s)of the remote mailbox to CD.
7. Delete the remote mailbox from the local drive. Copy the remote mailbox from CD to the local drive and test access.
8. Delete the user from the GroupWise system and then you can access the messages if needed by copying the remote mailbox from CD to a local harddrive.

Собственно, пришел к тому с чего начинал. 8-/
