Q: Will Pervasive.SQL take advantage of multiple processors?
A: Yes. Pervasive.SQL is multithreaded, reentrant, and fully thread safe so it can run on any multiprocessor server running an SMP capable version of NT, Windows 2000, Linux, or NetWare. Pervasive fully supports running Btrieve and ODBC/SQL applications on these hardware. Although Pervasive.SQL does not have any SMP specific code it will scale on this hardware very well. This is because items such as load balancing and processor selection is done by the operating system itself, allowing multiple processors to be utilized in some configurations. You should read the scalability paper titled "Growing Up with Pervasive".
