NAME SINGLE -- allow single-stepping of AUTOEXEC.NCF SYNOPSIS Load SINGLE4 (for NetWare 4.01, 4.02 and 4.10) DESCRIPTION The SINGLE NLMs allow the console operator to single-step though AUTOEXEC.NCF. She or he can decide whether or not to execute each line (much like F8 on startup of DOS). USAGE The SINGLE NLMs should be loaded in STARTUP.NCF, but can be loaded in AUTOEXEC.NCF if you wish to single-step it from a particular line. Although SINGLEx.NLM can be loaded at the command prompt (:), it will not do anything, just unload itself almost immediately. SINGLE will display each line in AUTOEXEC.NCF, with a [Y/N]? at the end of it. Type Y (or y) to accept the line, N or n to skip it. If you wish to skip the rest of AUTOEXEC.NCF, press S; if you wish to run the rest of AUTOEXEC.NCF, press A (for All). SINGLE will unload itself just after the end of AUTOEXEC.NCF. NOTES Before loading NLMs, NetWare requires that the file server name and internal IPX number are loaded. On NetWare 4, the NLMs stored inside SERVER.EXE (e.g. TIMESYNC.NLM, DSLOADER.NLM) must also be loaded first. If you skip the command to set the file server name, NetWare will automatically ask you for it before loading any other NLMs. This behaviour cannot be controlled. If you are running NetWare 4 with the DOMAIN.NLM, SINGLE4.NLM will automatically load into the OS domain, regardless of the current domain. DISCLAIMER SINGLE4.NLM are supplied as-is, with no warranty !!!!! You use them at your own risk.
